Rissa the Border Collie

Look at this beautiful, 39lb., 2-3 year old, red and white Border Collie. She's got ball drive and manners and is ready for a loving home. Here's what All Border Collie Rescue in TX says about her. She's being fostered in Houston:

Hi, my name is Rissa, the Border Collie. I came into All Border Collie Rescue after a lady got tired of me hanging around her house. I got lost from my family, but I guess this lady didn’t want me.

I only had to stay at the shelter a few hours, when ABC came and got me out. Good thing, too, cause I didn’t like that place much!!

I love playing ball and will play as long as my family can last!! My foster mom says I am a "real" border collie cause of my focus, intensity, and smarts!! I think that playing ball is my job, so I take it seriously!!



I also love, love, love to play in the sprinkler and bite at the water stream. Cools me off on a hot day!

I sleep in my crate when my family is gone and at night. I also potty outside and my mom says I’m a smart girl. I sit for my treats and like to catch them!! I am also learning come, stay, down, and paw and I know that I am smart enough to learn anything my family will teach me!!

I am good with other dogs, as long as they let me be the princess of the pack. I would almost prefer all the attention just on me, so if I'm an only dog, that is ok!! I really don’t think my foster mom wants me to have a home with cats, unless they love a good game of “chase the kitty”. I have been with teenagers and would probably do fine with nice younger kids, too. I love to snuggle on the couch if you let me, but my foster mom says I have to wait to be invited and I’m learning to be patient and ask.

I am 100% healthy, am spayed, chipped, and have all my shots. I am ready to find my forever home that will not lose me this time. I live in Houston with my foster family, but I will travel wherever my perfect family lives. Will you adopt me and play ball with me? My adoption donation is $250 and a home visit will be done.
