Ruby the Border Collie

Felix would love to adopt Ruby, the Border Collie, as his best friend and playmate. But Felix, the Borador, is on the road this summer, so someone else will be lucky instead.

Ruby is indeed a gem!! She has it all: brains beauty and lots of love to give!!! This young lady has come to us from a high kill KY shelter. She is approx 2-3 years old, based on her teeth.

She is a very sweet girl, loves to be with people, good with kids and great with other dogs. Has not been around cats that we know of. She is moderate energy, and will romp with the best but then prefers to come sit by your side.

She will play ball, but her play drive seems low right now. We are working on basic commands, and crate training, she will go into her crate for food. Does not seem to be sound-sensitive, and seems quite confident and curious in new surroundings.

Ruby will be great for a moderately active family, and will do quite well with hiking, biking, and walks, or just lying by your side. She seems to want to do whatever you want and is eager to please!
